We
were fed up of waiting at ski lifts in the crowded ski resorts. We
didn't like anymore doing the slopes over and over again together with
hundreds of other skiers. We were tired of looking out for speed
maniacs.
Ski touring seemed to be the solution : a mixture of skiing and mountaineering
in winter time. We bought a backpack, hired touring skis and went to the
Silvretta region in Austria.
